Laura Baresi is a knit designer. As a new-tricot explorer, she combines traditional with experimental techniques, moving towards the new frontiers of crochet, knitting, weaving and macrame. She specialised in scenography and theatre” at the Brescia Fine Arts and, following a work experience at “Teatro alla Scala” (Milan), she pursued a MA in Contemporary Arts Communication (Brera Academy). Over the years, she has also established professional partnerships with emerging artists and galleries.
In 2009, Laura founded Ladylike, her first fashion accessory brand, which she soon enriched with her first knitted and croqueted clothing and home décor items.
Since 2016, she has joined Makers Hub, the MO.CA. programme of residences for designers (New Culture Centre in Brescia).
Laura integrates her contemporary look with a tailored care by designing and creating customized set-ups, such as scenographic settings for big events as well as detailed fittings for shops and showrooms. Alongside her work as a consultant for historical knitwear factories and fashion brand, she is also a lecturer in the Visual Art Academy and in her atelier.
